On October 17, the 8th International Electronic Intelligent Manufacturing Jiangsu Summit 2020, organized around the development of the electronics manufacturing industry, informatization, automation, and intelligent manufacturing, was successfully held at the In Zaishuiyifang Hotel, Xiangcheng, Suzhou. The summit attracted more than a hundred well-known intelligent manufacturing companies as well as industry experts and scholars from both home and abroad.

Since its inception in 2012, the International Electronic Intelligent Manufacturing Jiangsu Summit has been held successfully for seven times, and has been hailed as "an annual feast of intelligent manufacturing in Jiangsu Province". This summit was co-hosted by the SMT Special Committee of the Jiangsu Electronic Society and the Assembly Automation Committee of the Jiangsu Electronic Society.

The main leaders attending this summit were: Xu Qi, Secretary-General of the Jiangsu Electronic Society; Wu Niankang, Director of the Intelligent Equipment Division of the Suzhou Industrial and Information Technology Bureau; Zhu Feng, Director of the Xiangcheng District Industrial and Information Bureau; Hu Fang, Director of the Taiping Street Economic Development Bureau, etc.

The specially invited guests for this summit were: Hu Jijie, Secretary General of the SMT/MPT Special Committee of the Shanghai Electronic Society; Dr. Guo Chaohui, Chief Researcher of Baosteel Group Research Institute in Shanghai; Mr. Lu Rengang, Member of the National Standardization Technical Committee for Informatization and Industrialization Integration Management, etc. Mr. Xuan Darong, the Honorary Chairman of the SMT Special Committee/Assembly Automation Committee of the Jiangsu Electronic Society, was also specially invited.

Mr. Jin Hongxin said in his speech at the summit: Against the backdrop of current economic globalization, the implementation of new frontier technologies such as the industrial internet, big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and quantum computing has become a trend in the development of the era. By leveraging information and digital means, we can improve the intelligence level of the manufacturing industry, and transitioning from "manufacturing" to "intelligent manufacturing", and towards a higher-end, more technological, smarter, and more competitive "new economy", it not only meets the inherent requirements of the country to accelerate the transformation and upgrade of the economic structure, but is also a new advantage in reshaping the manufacturing industry.

At the summit, Jiangsu SIMAND Electric Co., Ltd., as the president unit of the SMT Special Committee/Assembly Automation Committee of the Jiangsu Electronic Society, gave a keynote speech on "SIMAND Intelligent Manufacturing Case Sharing". Representatives of other intelligent manufacturing enterprises and industry experts also respectively gave speeches on "Industrial Knowledge Softwareization: From Automation to Intelligence", "Application Cases of SMT Mounting Technology Under the New Infrastructure Strategy", "Application of Intelligent Manufacturing in Factories", "Path and Capability Ladder of Digital Transformation of Intelligent Manufacturing", and "Sharing of Precision Fluid Control Technology". These presentations showcased the advanced technologies and concepts in the current domestic and international intelligent manufacturing industry, providing an eye-opening experience for the attendees.

Mr. Geng Ming, Deputy General Manager and General Manager of the Second Factory of Jiangsu SIMAND Electric Co., Ltd., said in his sharing of the intelligent manufacturing case at the summit, "The achievements SIMAND has made in intelligent manufacturing mainly reflect in the collaborative SMT production line, the automatic collection of process data in the digital workshop production line, the automation of automated-intelligent production lines, and the production control center that is flexible throughout the entire process."
